The best thing about the new Star Wars movie....

Okay, the morning after I'm finding things that I liked about Star Wars III: The Revenge of the Sith.

First and foremost on that list was the preview for Fantastic 4. Jessica Alba is perfectly cast for this movie. She's perfect for the part. I must confess I have a pretty serious Jessica Alba thing.

It should be a fun movie.

What else did I like about the new Star Wars movie???? Jar Jar Binks didn't open his mouth for the whole movie. I don't have to worry about any anticipation about waiting for the DVD to come out.

Uhhmmmmm... I guess that's it.

You're beautiful because I love you.

I hope I enjoy it more than you did.

Just to put it in some context Pete is the same guy that thought Kung Fu Hustle was great.... For me I was as close to walking out in that one as I have ever been any movie..... :)

I saw EP III again yesterday and like it even more the 2nd time.

I'll warn you ahead of time, if you haven't seen this movie yet, don't read my comment here.

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. As a big ass hole, I've got some opinions that match. ;)

I like movies that celebrate creativity and a unique point of view. I like it when someone does something that is a bit avant guard. The same-old-stuff is okay, when something comes along that changes the way movies are made and viewed like the first three Star Wars movies, I look for something more.

As I've said about 1000 times before, There is no accounting for taste. On its own merits, Star Wars Episode 3 was an okay movie. The problem is that the first three movies were fantastic. They captured your imagination and took you to another place. The last three movies FOR ME took me nowhere. I just sat there, watched them, and rooted for the bad guys, knowing that they already lose at the end of the third movie.

Having been disappointed by the first two movies, I didn't expect anything different for the third.

The first three movies weren't perfect, the dialog was hokie. That kind of gave them a bit of charm.

The last three movies were contrived and to me, nothing more than a glorification of special effects.

Could it be the shift from using miniaturization and models to CGI? I don't think there was a single scene that wasn't done in front of a green screen.

Kung Fu Hustle had character development, humor and a historical analysis of the evolution of martial arts in motion pictures.

Episodes 1-3 had character disoution. Again, this is just my opinion. Aniken Skywalker started as a brilliant, insightful and selfless kid and turned into a mindless dupe that is incapable of thinking or acting for himself. One would say that this is the result of his going to the dark side... I would agree with that if by "the dark side" you mean the total lack of imagination displayed by the writers and the total lack of acting ability by Whats his hame Christiensen.

What isn't talked about is Princess Amadala's slip to the dark side. She turned from a self-assured and forceful leader of her people, into a wimpy, cry-baby that is incapable of doing anything on her own.

"She's physically fine, but we're losing her." What's up with that??? She's got 2 kids that she's just given life to and she can't be bothered to live a few years and see them grow up? I know you've got a bit of heart ache in your life, but Puhlease!!! Get over yourself and don't be such a lump.

Sorry to rant. I could go on, but I'll give you a break.

Have a nice day. Go see the movie and see if you like it!
